Upgrading video card on dell dimension e521.

I am looking to upgrade the video card on my dell dimension e521. I have read that some new video cards need new power supplies and was wondering If i would need one. Here are the specs of my computer.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor4200+ 2.20 Ghz

3.25 GB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE

Any Ideas?

The choice of video card is very dependant on your intended use. If you are a gamer than there are several higher performing options to choose from. If you need it for web browsing then you re fine. I recently purchased am MSI 9600 GT with 1G of ram and HDMI out for a very low price and it does not require much power draw, no ps upgrade was required. With your current system spec's and not knowing how you wish to use it this might be a good fit for you.

Thanks for the post.

I was hoping to use it for gaming as the geforce is starting to struggle. I'll have a look at it.

i think that is the card he was suggesting ... that is a good low power graphic card for your system ... it will perform a bit above the ATI Radeon 4560 i was going to suggest.
