Using An Old CPU Heatsink With A New Motherboard

I have an XPS 400 in which I plan on replacing its BTX board with a new Micro ATX board. The case doesn't support Micro ATX because of its age so I will be using wood to prop it up and keep it in place if need be as I still need to do some measuring. Im curious as to if it would be possible for me to reuse the old heatsink and keep it in place in any way possible?

I would use my own pictures for the heatsink but the photos were too large of files to do so.
