Video Card
Hey I have a Dell Dimension 4600 with the 3.06 Ghz processor and 3 gbs of memory. I just added a 1Tb hard drive (Seagate Barracuda). I wanna update my video card so i can hook up my tv to my computer and watch blue rays. I know nothing about video cards but i do know my system needs a AGP card which is completely outta date. Everyone tells me to buy a new computer but i like my old computer and i dont wanna fork out a grand right now. Any one have a idea for a great video card for this application?? I will probably need a new Power supply so and ideas on that too???
Thanks for your help

Here you go. I have done this on a 4100, 5 4600s and a GX270 so far. PSU and 3850. The 3850 is significantly better than the 4650 or 4670 for AGP. This is around $150 and runs great! Most of these computers are running the graphics 24/7 doing folding. We just started these up with the 3850s over Christmas. They run a little under 1500PPD which is very respectable and certainly at the top of the AGP game.
I also have several of these computers set up with blu-ray using an external dual USB connector Asus blu-ray player and PowerDVD. It runs the blu-rays fine.

You bet. I have this supply in one of my 4600s. I have an OCZ ModStream 520 in another and PC Power and Cooling 470ATXs in the rest. And the BFGTech is on sale for $10 off and has a $10 rebate.

The Sapphire 3850 AGP is powered by an 8 pin (6+2) PCIe connector. So, the BFGTech PSU works great.
