Video Problems XPS 8300

Hi there,

Anyone having video issues with there XPS 8300?

I have mine a few weeks. I have it connected to my Philips 32 Inch LCD TV via HDMI cable. It willboot up fine and the colours will all look fine. This the scren will go black for approx 1 second and then then colours go mental. It is like a bright green/pink colour. It will stay this way for anything up to 3, 4 even 5 minutes and then flick off again and then back to normal colours.

It will keep doing this when I have the PC powered on. The HDMI lead is fine as I've checked it in my Philips HDD Recorder and the colour is fine here.

Anyone come across anything like this?

Cheers,

Mac

Hi there,

Has anyone any ideas why this video issue might be happening? I am going to try an old VGA monitor cable to see if the issue still presists but surely if a graphics card has a HDMI port it should be able to be used this way...

Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

mcquaim

What did you do about this issue?  My XPS 8300 (bought 4/1)  has almost blinded me with fuzzy text and intense whites.  I really need to find some folks who are experiencing other video problems.  Did you get the ATI 5450?
