Vostro 220 Ram Upgrade

Hello,

I'm running Windows 8.1 64bit on my Vostro 220mt with 2.5GB of RAM installed, one stick 2GB, the other 512MB. No I have upgraded to 64bit Windows, I was planning to replace the 512 stick of ram with another 2GB stick for 4GB . I'm in the UK and I'm on a budget of about £25, and was wondering if any of these will work in the system, as I know that Dell computers can be fussy about the ram that works in them.

Also, are there any cheaper places to get the upgrade?

Hi Jon,

The system will perform best if you use matched pairs. So it would be ideal to try to match the model of the RAM module you already have.

Unfortunately, your links are not working so I can't check those.

Okay, the links should now be working.  I believe that the ram currently in my computer is a Kingston KTD-DM8400C6/2G module and the 512MB module was shipped with the computer.

The 220 works fine with G.SKILL PC6400. It's a little more expensive, but very stable.
