Webcam Central Problem!

My intergrated web camera has been working great until last night; When I first started with this new computer I opened the webcam and it had effects on the side, now when I open it the effects are gone and do not show up. The camera works fine, but the flamboyant and fun filters and effects only come up when I'm streaming on the web like in chatroulette.com, and not when I click the webcam icon itself on my desktop. Any suggestions would be nice.
