What Do I Do After Installing A New Hard Drive In My 4600 Dimension?

I just installed a Western Digital hard drive in my 4600 Dimension and now I don't have a clue of what to do next.  I thought you could just insert the CD's with all of the drivers and everything would work but boy was I wrong.  It kept saying to hit F2 or F12 to boot but nothing happens.  I did however insert the Windows XP disk and that seems to work but I am so clueless with this stuff I am lost.  Can someone please walk me through the steps so I can have my computer back on what I need to do?

If you replaced your existing drive with a new bare drive, you must either reinstall Windows or image the old drive over to the new one. Western Digital offers free downloadable Acronis TrueImage imaging software for the latter purpose.

The simplest way to set up a new drive is to reinstall Windows from the install CDs, but if you have any data, you'll have to copy it over .

The procedures for a manual reinstall of XP, are HERE.

Maybe this interactive guide for a reinstall of XP HERE can also help.
