Thanks, will send to Microsoft, Avast, Zemana and Malwarebytes.  It is located in the Dell folder.  This file was loaded the first time I booted my computer after Dell replaced the hard drive, which is what caused me to think it was from Dell.  The tech came out and installed it.  The new drive was accessed after leaving Dell, I don't understand why that would happen.

Ok, that's helpful information. Maybe it was put there by Dell. But strange that Google doesn't show any useful information.

Hi Stoobder,

It's not from Dell. I am not seeing anything from a Google search, which is normally a bad sign. I would treat it as if it's malware.

The properties for the file does not have any info.  I sent a copy to Microsoft to check it.  Will post if they get back to me.

Nothing useful here, either.

There is a citrix file similar name.  I'm inclined to say its malware.

Without knowing EXACTLY where this file is on your drive and What OS, sp version and What Model Dell there really is no one size fits all for all situations.

setenv bootargs root=PARTUUID=${kernel_part_uuid}
Otherwise, the value of the uuid variable (or result of the "part uuid"
command) would need to prepend the PARTUUID= or MBRSIG= to the "uuid"
variable's value, and that's probably Linux-specific rather than part of
a generic UUID for the partition.
