What would I need to run 5K monitor on Dell 8700 XPS Tower w/ Windows 7?

Because of the software I use, I definitely have to use Windows 7.   I'm open to any upgrades and I am more concerned about things running smoothly and problem free rather than price.

I already have 16GB of RAM, and a 2TB SSD.

What would you suggest as far as power supply, graphics card, or whatever, to be able to run smoothly a 5K monitor?

Thanks in advance!

UP2715K 5K display

- Displaying 5K resolution on UP2715K requires 2 x DP1.2 cable connection with DisplayID support.

Specific cards support this.

Quadro K2200 K4200 K5200

Geforce GTX 980 970 960

GTX 1080 1070 1060

GTX 1060 or 960 won't be an issue with stock power supply.

Hi Sloyfa,

Thanks for posting.

From the manual: Graphics card requirement: With two DP ports that are compliant to DP1.2 support HBR2, DisplayID 1.3, supporting Tile Display feature. http://dell.to/2um9Hj3

Wow!   I thought it would take a lot.... thanks especially for that list!   So the graphics card and cables (and the monitor of course) you think that's all I'd need with my current tower setup?   Thanks for the info!

Actually, with the power supply that I have, which would be the best graphics card to get if I didn't care about the cost...?     And I'm I reading this right, that I have a 460W power supply...?

Thanks again!
