XPS 2720 and LG smart TV
I have tried to play some films and music on my LG 47LM760T-ZB smart tv via my XPS 2720. The tv recognizes my pc and my media player on the input screen but will not open them when selected. It just says Error, Missing file.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Might help if you post the version of Windows and how the TV is connected to the 2720: HDMI, WiFi, Thunderbolt..?
If HDMI, does the TV support HDMI 1.4, which is what the PC supports?

Thanks for the reminder, I'm new at this. The operating system on the PC is Windows 8.1 and it is connected to the LG TV via Wifi.

Did the TV come with a driver disk that you have to install on the PC?
Do you have the latest Win 8.1 WiFi drivers installed?
Since it's WiFi, you might want to repost this in the Networking forum, and be sure to include all the info.
