XPS 420 video card

Will I be able to run an ATI / Radeon 3850 in my XPS 420? (I think it has the 375 w power supply)  I am currently running 3 hard drives as a music server but not much else.  I don't do much gaming, yet.......Bwa ha ha ha ha, excellent. (sorry, couldn't resist)  The 3850 seemed like a decent card.  Any suggestions?

I second that, go with the Nvidia 8800gt.

Ive got 3 of them, price and performance, cant beat them.

and your PSU will be enough for either.

Only comment is that's a nice card, but for a few more bucks your in the Nvidia 8800GT price range and that is a faster and more efficient card from both a power and frame rate point of view.

The nvidia 8800 GT was rated one of the best video cards out there.  Even above the higher end cards.  The 8800 GT won the media area hands down.  If your going to get a TV tuner and a Blue-Ray the 8800 GT is the only card out there that can handle the burt demand of these hardware.  I hope this helps.  Oh, I found this info. straight from Nvidia website.

I have an 8800 GTS 512 MB in my 420, and it runs O.K. I haven't had any problems so far! I can't run anything any higher than the card I have because the 9800 GTX requires two PCI-e connectors.
