XPS 600 Pentium D 3.0 800 - Hyper Threading?

Hi - I thought this processor was Hyper-Threading capable?  In the bios (A08) it shows "Hyper-Threading Capable - NO" ... is this right?

Pentium D's are not HT enabled, only the Pentium EE's are HT enabled (840, 955, 965).  No HT on Core2.

Why do you suspect that the line of processors that mine belongs to doesn't have HT?

Thanks for the info btw.  D

You said you had a Pentium D 3.0 and no Pentium D has HT except the EE versions.  That is how Intel designed it.

HT makes a single CPU immitate a dual core CPU. As you have a Dual Core, HT is not needed. Thats the jist of it.
