XPS 720 Mobo

Does anyone know what Mobo shipped with a late 2007 model XPS 720? (I need to know so I can download the correct SATA Controller Drivers for a tedious XP Pro install)

Thanks

For some unknown reason, Dell does not include the motherboard chipset driver ANYWHERE for this system.  LOL!  Just go to Nvidia's site and grab it - but remember not to install the ethernet driver (there's an option for this when installing).

Whats wrong with the drivers listed HERE?

There are only three know versions of the motherboard A00 A01 A02, All use the same drivers and chipset.

These system intially shiped with XP so there is no reason that you cannot use any of the drivers on the listed page.

You can if you do perfer to use the Nvidia drivers, BUT if you chose to use their chipset driver, you must deslect the Nic driver as the board uses a broadcom nic instead of a nivida nic.

Best results are obtained by using your green colored Dell OS Reinstallation CD/DVD disc. Should be dated 2006/7 and is Microsoft XP Pro SP2 disc. You will have no luck using a Microsoft OEM disc.
