XPS 8000- Can I add a 3rd HDD?
Hi, I just purchased a refurbed Dell XPS 8000. It currently has a 750 GB and a 320 GB HDD. I have a Hitachi HDP7250 500GB HDD from my old Inspiron 546 that I want to add.
I opened up the case on the XPS 8000 and I'm wondering were I can put the 3rd HDD.
Does it have to be secured or fastened to the chassis? Can I have it outside of the case itself? I see there is a SATA connector on the back of the case above the USB connections.

if you still have a sata port left you can add it. A bit clumsy to leave it loose in the case though. My first thought was to get a hd case and use the esata port of the back instead.
