XPS 8100 w/ATI 5770 Video card connected to Samsung Monitor/TV blurry text
Dell XPS 8100 with ATI 5770 Video card connecting to Samsung 2333HD Monitor/TV using HDMI displays blurry text. Dell has replaced the Video Card twice and the Motherboard once. Issue persists.
Samsung 2333HD HDMI port is set to PC Mode and 5770 is set to output 60Hz refresh rate. There appear to be no WINDOWS 7 Drivers for the Samsung 2333HD, only XP/2000 and Vista
Any suggestions?

No. Also tried Panasonic Viera Plasma TV using HDMI and the text is blurry using that as well.

Is the resolution set for 1920x1080 exactly in the ATI control panel? Have you got ClearType turned on?
Sorry if these seem obvious but I don't want to make any assumptions.

Hi Web1006,
Apart from the Samsung HDTV, does the display look good on another monitor?

Resolution is set to 1920X1080 but ClearType was not found in Catalys Control Center.

It's a Windows 7 function. Search for "cleartype".

The ClearType setting helped a very small amount. Still too blurry to be usable.

I recently bought an XPS 8300 with an ATI 5450 and my eyes are now killing me. I've tried multiple browsers and it's not the browser. I keep thinking it's clear type but it's not. Now I'm starting to wonder if it's the graphics card. Are you making any progress getting this resolved?

Monitor: Dell 193ep, 1280x1024.
ClearType is ON
ATI control Panel reads the same as Windows 7 resolution.

Hi Nysky1,
It would help if you described the problem you are having, provide the model and resolution of your monitor, and also answer the questions I posed to the OP above.

Sorry, my mistake, it's a Dell Monitor. Make e193fp. I'm swapping video cards today to see if i can get better results. I think Cleartype and this graphics card are not compatible.

Ok, I figured it was a Dell analog LCD and I was right. Let me know about the new card. I've only ever used NVidia cards so I'm not sure what I can offer by way of suggestions.
