XPS 8500 not taking any new ram
I have an older model xps 8500 with the upgraded windows 10 and i am trying to install more ram to the system but all i get from the computer is beeping after plugging in the power cord after installing the ram. i am removing the old ram compleatly and installing PNY part number md8192sd3-1600-nhs-v2 into the slots. anyone know why the system is not excepting the new ram?

You'll have to ask PNY what the difference is, but this is the RAM they recommend for your XPS 8500.
