XPS 8700, adding second monitor to video card?
I would like to add the 2007WFP monitor from my previous Dell computer to my XPS 8700 as a second monitor. What cable would be best, since the WFP is old enough not to have HDMI or displayport? The system runs Windows 7, and the primary monitor is a U2412M.

It all depends on what video out ports are available on your video card?
2007WFP Video In ports = VGA/DVI-D
U2412M Video In ports = VGA/DVI-D/DP

I am awaiting an XPS 8700 to be delivered and I’m considering ordering a second video card for it to run two monitors. What are my options?

What Video Card did you buy? it should have the following outputs, DVI-D/VGA/DP
if it has a Display port you can buy an adapter to it, mini DP to HDMI, then HDMI to DVI.
