XPS 8900 Graphics card update

Hello,

I am looking to upgrade from my NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 730 2GB to a Asus GeForce GTX 1060 Overclocked 3GB GDDR5. I just want to know if this is possible whether it be able to run and even fit into my computer. If any other specs are necessary please let me know and I will post them. Or if anyone has better suggestions I'd be happy to hear. I am looking to run games like fallout 4, crysis, and the new gears of war.

Thanks!

For 1080p resolution, I think the 1060 is a very good card.

Lots of threads. note that the nVidia cards that fit the 8900 also fit the 8700

The front panel USB3 connector on the 8900 gets in the way of long cards.  mini ITX versions of cards fit in the majority of dells however.

Some RX460's even fit into the 3650 itty bitty tower and dont need power supply upgrade.

I don't own an 8900 but I've looked at a couple and have never seen an issue if the card is in the upper (blue colored) PCIE x16 slot.

There are several who have put in fullsize / full length GTX 9x0 and GTX 10x0 cards.

so in other words, I see no reason to be limited to the mini itx format cards, unless I'm really missing something.
