XPS One 2710 (gpu?) cooler fan became too noisy

Hello.

At the begining Xps One was quiet. But then, it became more noisy, even when nothing is running (except regular system apps).

It comes from the bottom right corner (looking to front side). If Iam not mistaking - it is GPU.

All GPU and GPU stress tests - ok.

GPU idle temp - 67-68°C. (max stress temp is around 78-81°C)

CPU - 61°C.

Bios is up to date.

Does some one have the same problem?

Thanks.

P.S. Maybe the problem is not connected with gpu.

Hi.

If you've not solved your issue, you will find a solution the way I did.  Remove back cover and completely blow out your venting and fans (canned air not sufficient - use compressor carefully).  You may not see much accumulation, but it made a big difference in mine.  Noise was eliminated and system ran average of 10 deg cooler.

Hope this helps.

I am having the same Problem.  I have removed the back cover on the XPS2720, thoroughly cleaned the fan (with compressed air) and still no success.

Does anyone know where a replacement fan can be purchased?  I have tried searching but cannot find a source anywhere.

Here is a photo of the part number.
