XPS backup safety option?

Ive ordered my new XPS today (1st time buyer) i was wondering, as i always end up messing around with computers i will inevitably mess it up somehow. Does the XPS come with vista and the drivers etc on a backup/restore disc or just an image on the HD. I prefer to have a disc as if the drive died or needed to be replaced, i would want to restore my windows and i disc is the best way.

 On my acer laptop i can burn the backup image to dvd. Then burn the drivers and progs to a cd.

Can i do this with my new XPS420? (which i will be getting soon hooray)
