Ok, click on start........Then Control Panel.............Then Task bar and Start menu.........There will be an option for auto-hide the task bar......

Must say though if you switched to classic then its different.........

Just find the tastk bar and make sure auto-hide is unchecked...........If you still have a prob, then......

let me know..

How do you access your Start  menu without a task bar? :emotion-42:

CTRL ESC on the Keyboard in Windows XP/Vista/7

There is no Start menu by default in windows 8 but you can add that back with Stardock or Classic Shell.

:emotion-3: OK, I tried both ways anyways but I managed to click drag from somewhere hidden outside the top margin or edge of my screen.  I had to manually click and drag my task bar back onto the screen blindly, which then appeared at the top.  I made sure to unlock and then drag it back down to the intended place at the bottom before re-locking.  That was a pain but it worked...in this case anyway.  I'm sure there is an easier way of making the task bar visible but nothing else I was told about even with tech support seemed to work.
