cannot update bios on GX620, windows 7, help

downloaded the file, states I can update my bios with the file A11GX620.exe, but I get an error when I click and try to run as an administrator, "windows configuration error..."

checking on web, some states it may work with windows XP but I don't have a copy...

by the way how to I check which version of bios I have? Likely I have to update bios but want to check first so I can run ssd optimally.
