compatible mobo

I have an older XPS 7100 with a 0GK1K2 motherboard and a AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1045T Processor. does anyone know of any motherboards that I can upgrade too while still being all around compatible?      I Would like also like to swap processors from AMD to Intel.

Thank you!

Hi Bukkakefan

This model goes with only one type of motherboard the same as on your system as of now.

Just a personal suggestion, if you are willing to spend on upgrading motherboard and processor, its worth to buy a new machine as it will cost you the same.

Do provide us your system tag#, email address and name via private message,by clicking on my name in blue and then select send a private message

I swapped in an aftermarket mATX board into my XPS 7100 chassis, but there are several Dell Intel boards that should fit, too.

The front panel wiring arrangement is slightly different, but the USB and audio cabling is standard.

ASRock makes a board compatible with your CPU, and featuring SATA 3 and USB 3, that will fit.
