dell 690 750w powersupply
at the moment when i plug in my power supply( its about 6mths old ) i hear a faint beeping sound coming from inside-the powersupply,
i know all about beep codes its not one of them ive never had this happen on any of my PC'S before can anyone give me a clue as to whats going on.
i know the supply works fine i had it on my PC prior to me up grading it for a 1kw version

Power supplies have a minimum load.

Use a tester that has a load. Plugging in a power supply without a load will not work.

the power supply is connected to the motherboard and when start button is pushed nothing works only the quiet beep coming from it
