dell optiplex 3040 sff sound not working.
Have speakers that worked on old computer. when I'm on the speaker/headphone tab of the dell audio setup, and click the speaker icon... there IS noise coming through them. But no noise when I try youtube or even a video on the dell website. The sound is not muted, and the when I click on the sound icon down by the clock/date, it appears that there is sound coming through. Speakers are on, volume is up. What is going on? How do I fix it?

What specific speakers? Disconnect the speakers from the Optiplex 3040 SFF. Plug standard headphones into the REAR green audio out jack. Then play some music. Do you hear the music?
