graphic card replacement

HI,

I have a Dimension E520 with a ATI radion 1300 256mb graphics card. I have been running two monitors, one from the DVi slot and the other from the VGA slot. The DVI monitor went blank and the VGA one works. Putting the DVI on the VGA and it works. I am guessing the card is faulty or possibly the DVI cable. As I would like to up grade the card anyway it would seem a good time.

I need advice on what to replace it with I need a PCIe card that will run the two monitors. I am not a gamer but would like a better card. Mostly I am worried that I will get a card that will not fit!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. The Dell Dimension is a 2007 model. Service tag [Admin Note: Service tag removed per TOU].

Regards,

Jonathan

Hi Jonathan,

You can hardly do worse than the Radeon 1300. This Radeon HD6450 should be adequate and will work with your existing power supply.
