how to make SSD as boot drive?

I have Precission T3610 with HDD 500 GB .To improve my speed I want to install OS (windows 7 professional  64 ) from Factory Image to a new drive SSD  120 GB.I tried  few times but all instalation makes on original drive HDD.

You might consider Acronis TrueImage, which will image over the existing installation to the SSD, saving you from reinstalling. Barring such a measure, you likely will need a Dell reinstallation disk. You might be able to order one from Dell, or you can buy one on eBay.

The Factory Image overwrites your existing installation with a copy of the factory image, and you lose all your data in the process.
