identifying video card

I have an 8400 and after reinstalling windows am trying to find appropriate drivers for my video card.  I thought I had a GeForce 4 in it but the driver for the GeForce 4 doesn't recognize it.  I was just wondering if anyone could help me to identfy what exactly I have in my machine.
thanks,
Stephen

Start-->Control Panel-->System-->Hardware tab-->Device Manger-->

click "+" sign next to Display Adapter.  You should see the name of your

video card.

Download appropriate drivers from www.nvidia.com once you've identified your video card.

thanks, I'm in the device manager and don't see a option for "display adapter," under other devices I see "video controller" and "video controler (VGA compaible)."  To the left of these there is a little icon that loks like a yellow question mark with a black exclamation point in a yellow circle over top.  There is also an option further down the tree for "sound, vdeo and game controller" with video coecs as a sub-option.

You can't have a Geforce 4 in there because the Geforce 4 was never made in PCIe format. That said, if there are no special "Geforce 4" drivers-Nvidia's drivers work on all their cards.

So given that, I'd guess that either you have an ATi card, or you didn't install your system's chipset drivers first thing when reinstalling Windows.
