mic is very quiet

um i keep buying different headsets and they are all very very quiet, i think its the port for it but dont know if thats possible, pls help

have you tried going into Control Panel_Sound and Audio Devices...click on advanced button...options...properties...make sure microphone has a check mark...then you can adjust microphone from there

This is a pretty widey acknowledged issue on the Dim 9100/9150/XPS 400, I gave up and bought a Logitech USB headset, actually much happier with it, but was a pain to have to pay for a replacement.
