no audio with tv adapter
I hooked up my tv as the computermonitor. Picture is great, no sound.
I have GX620, Kworld UB445-U2 and XP
I used the VGA cable. Connected the audio into the green (out) on the computer to the hole next to the cable connection on the TV. (As far as I can tell from the TV manual that is the right one. But I tried all the others and none of them work.
I set the audio properties for stereo monitor.
In setup, the integrated audio is on.
No yellow exclamation points anywhere in device drivers.
All devices show as working.
Help!

The output device in the Sound applet should be set to the onboard audio.
May we ask the model of the TV?

I am sorry, I don't have the model number with me.

I don't understand what that means.
How would I find the "Sound applet", whatever that is, to begin with.
Anyway, I think the problem is with the TV cable. I need a better connector, I think.
I did get some sound once, but have lost it again.
Sorry to be slow to respond. I don't have internet at home and have to use the library when I can get there.
I think the TV is a Vizio.
Thank you for replying.
