(redirected) Alienware Alpha - Controller Issue

I just got my Alienware Alpha as of yesterday, instead of going through console mode with the controller provided I instead plugged in a mouse & keyboard & went into desktop mode from the beginning. Now my 360 controller is acting like a mouse & controller simultaneously. I looked around & apparently because I skipped console mode, I can't toggle off the mouse option for the controller. I've tried uninstalling Alpha Command Center because apparently it worked for somebody else, I've had no such luck however.
