cant send sound.
cant find microphone to check.
have xps 8100. or is it the sound card i need to find?
can receive sound fine.

Hi Eastartlover,
Your webcam should have an integrated microphone. If you go to sound in device manager, you'll see it listed in the recording tab. If you do not see anything there, then you'll need to buy something. The XPS 8100 does not include an integrated microphone.

How would I know if i have a microphone or sound device in my computer? I dont see it under control panel, sounds. I did turn up the volume on the microphone level there, but it did not help.

under sound , i have speakers and Realtek digital output. I guess I dont have a webcam, this is where it would be? thanks
