xps400 i want to upgrade compatible power supply
ive had this machine since day one 10 years ago. i dont have the money to buy what i want just yet. i really want to find a power supply that will fit in my case but is an upgrade to what i have. i believe mine is out. the power button blinks an amber color. a few years ago i added a 500g harddrive plus the existing 80g. i am not that computer savvy but love to tinker and with youtube i finish most projects hehe. i would even consider building a pc. anyways i am rambling but would like any advice. thanks

The XPS 400 system does not use a Dell proprietary power supply, you can use most standard ATX power supplies with either, a 24-pin or 20+4-pin main motherboard power connector and with a minimum of 2-SATA power connectors.
As the XPS 400 has an open back panel, a power supply with or without the on/off switch can be used.
You should be able to buy a compatible power supply from most local, or online computer stores.
