What is the model number of the XPS tower you wish to install the 435t hard drive in?

YES. it cannot however be swapped in such a way that applications and os can be run from it as a secondary or primary drive on a new system.

The system will not boot from the drive moved from the older system - so: no, the programs and operating system on the older disc will not run in the new system.
