AMD FirePro V4800 problems, what can I do?

Hi everyone,

I've got a Dell Precision T1600 equipped with an AMD FirePro V4800 videocard. I bought the computer in July 2011 and it has always worked properly, but now there's a problem.

Sometimes during the use some green squares appear on the monitor, the AMD graphic driver stops working, then the screen becomes black (once it has become yellow) and the system crashes.

I think it's a hardware problem, but the ProSupport service ended the lust july (what luck!): what can I do? Is it better to contact Dell or I can't get anything from them?

Thanks a lot!

Thank you! I know, in fact I don't claim to do anything for free. So what should I do now in your opinion?

The video artifacts are indication that your power supply or GPU Fan are failing. Warranties are not forever its 2015 and the video card is from 2010.

Replace the card and or power supply could be one or the other or both.

I would try replacing the card AFTER UNINSTALLING any drivers for the card.
