According to driver search based on service tags some upgrades are available, but should I?
From the filtered list it seems that three removable storage drivers are available and recommended for my system.
Removable Storage (3) | |||
TSST-Firmware Recommended
Applies to: | |||
TS-H653J 16X DVD+/-RW SATA HH
TS-H653H 16X DVD+/-RW SATA HH
TS-H353B HH SATA 16X DVDROM |
Hpwever I can see no references to TSST for any removable storage currently on the computer, and in particular that for the DVD/CD Rom drives has
PLDS DVD+-RW DH-16AAS ATA Device.
Are Dell filtered lists of available downloads completely accurate, so that installing the updates will be absolutely safe?
Please advise.

Hi deyerawks,
Are filtered drivers accurate? No, they're not I'm afraid. I suggest you just select the option to see all drivers for your desktop model.
With regard to that DVD drive, is there a particular reason you're looking for a firmware update? If so, I searched for and found this firmware update for your drive.
