Compatible Processors for the Optiplex GX520
I was wondering if an Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 would be a compatible chip for Optiplex GX520. It currently has 2.8 GHz Pentium 4 in the LGA 775 socket. Not sure of the chipset... 995 or something like that. If so, would there be any BIOS issues with this exchange? Anyone with knowledge of this please advise. Thanx in advance.

As a followup to the previous post, the chipset is the Intel 945 express. Core 2 Duo compatible??

The Optiplex GX520 does not support any Core 2 Duo processors.
The fastest processor that's supported is the Pentium D 2.8Ghz.
