DELL XPS 8500 CASE FANS
Trying to find replacement for the processor fan

Your title said case fan. Your description says processor fan. Not sure which you need.
I think the 8700 and 8500 are the same rear case fan. 92mm PWM. I upgraded two of our 8700s to use a Noctua NF-B9. I got it on amazon for about $13. looks like the current price is $ 15.99
for the CPU cooler, I upgraded mine to a cryorig H7. There is a video and decent instructions here.

I am not certain the 8500 CPU cooler is the same as the 8700/8900 but I think it is likely they are the same.

I use a Cooler Master Vortex CPU cooler with my XPS 8500.
Usually the CPU cooler and fan are bundled together, although you should be able to use an aftermarket unit (4-wire connector) of the appropriate size.
