Dell/Logitech Cordless Keyboard and Mouse Problems

Hi,

I have the Dell/Logitech keyboard and mouse combo, and I'm getting bad results with it.  The keyboard lags behind when you press the button, and the mouse jumps a lot, and seems to have a low dpi as well.  Is there a way to fix this?

I tried changing the batteries and putting the mouse on a white piece of paper, and neither of those made any difference.

Ignatius_VI,

Welcome to the Dell Community Forum (DCF).
Disable the (HT) Hyper-Threading Technology -

* Reboot the computer
* When the Dell logo screen appears, press the F2 key until the computer enters the System Setup program
* Press the [Down Arrow] key until CPU Information is highlighted
* [Hit Enter Key] to display the available choices
* Press the [Up Arrow] key or the [Down Arrow] key to highlight Hyper-Threading
* Press the [Spacebar] to toggle between Enable and Disable
* Press the [Esc] key to exit from the CPU Information menu
* Press the [Esc] key to Save and Exit
* Press the [Enter] key when you are prompted to Save changes and exit now

Check the mouse out.

Is there anything else I could try that wouldn't decrease system performance?  Or does dell have more than one type of cordless keyboard and mouse?

The receiver is away from everything.  It's about a foot and a half away from the nearest electrical device, which would be a speaker.

Place the receiver away from all electrical magnectic fields like the powerswitch or any transformer and try again.

Wich port is it connected? If USB try using the PS2-ports.

Are there any problems in device-manager?
