Any idea where is the noise coming from? Please disconnect the power cable and hold down the power button for 15 secs, then put back the cable and power on, observe for any changes.

Also disconnect all memory modules, hard drive, optical drive and power up the machine if there is no sound, then put back the parts one by one starting with memory module and observe .
