Current hard drive the original Maxtor 6L 160 Gb SATA
Can forum members please advise if the Western Digital WD3200AAKS 320GB SATAII 16MB Cache 7200 RPM is Ok for my PC?
when reinstalling XP do we need to change any settings?

1of3,
The largest sata 2 drive we tested was a 250GB so I am not sure about the 320GB.

Many thanks for these quick responses. I'll let you know next week how things turned out when the new HD arrives.
Thanks Again

Just to confirm all went to plan , the new Hard drive was identified , booted from the CD drive with original XP disc, apart from all the MS updating SP2 & 3 on CD . PC is just back to normal.
Thanks Again to Bev for quick reply.
