Hard drive makes a lot of normal gurgling and processing noises but it's to loud
Will this louder than normal noise get quieter with time?

Some drives are noisier than others Usually it will never change.

I had a Dell Dimension E510 and the OEM drive in it was "noisy". I upgraded the drive and the new one was quiet. However, the OEM drive worked without problems but I needed more drive space and upgraded.
I now use SSD drives.

So I guess it's either change it or live with it. I liked the green light that blinked in my OptiPlex when the drive was working but now I can hear when it does.
