Inspiron 3668, normal for the fan to spin fast when turned off
I shut down my desktop and both fans spin like crazy, i am sure this never happened before,
all tests passed, firmware updated etc, etc,
Dell support response below.
I have confirmed that it is normal for the fan to spin fast when turned off. It is working as designed, it does this to help the system cool down.
I actually tested my own desktop to confirm and the fan does the same thing.
I find this hard to believe, and frankly want to be able to shut down without the fans going.
has anyone else got this issue? or furthermore can anyone confirm that their 3668 shuts down fully (including fans).

User told you in that other thread that Dell swapped the motherboard and problem went away. Sounds like you need to start a fresh Dell Tech Support ticket...
