Inspiron 518 won't turn on

I shut my Inspiron 518 down. When I went to restart it, nothing happens. No light in the button, no start-up sequence, no nothing. There is definitely power from the outlet. Any ideas what it could be or what I can do?

Did you check the cord at rear of PC to make sure it didn't come loose/out? If you use a power strip, surge protector or uninterruptable power supply, remove those and plug PC directly into the wall.

If you peek inside the case, do you see an LED on the motherboard that's on?

ron, I'm having the same issue with my Inspiron 518.  I do have a light on the motherboard (and on the back of the power supply).  I tried multiple outlets, tried unplugging all peripherals, and replacing the bios battery.  Any other suggestions?  Thanks!
