Inspiron Desktop - beeps
today i tried to start my computer and all i get is a series of 4 beeps 1-1-1-1 continuously.

What model Inspiron? On some Inspiron's four beeps means memory read/write error. Did you instal new memory?

Can't find an Inspiron 1580 on the list. Try reseating the memory if you can. I'd give you a link to instructions, but since I can't find a 1580....

Found the manual for an Inspiron 580, but it has no information on beep codes. What is the state of the power button when you press it? Is it solid blue, blinking blue, solid amber blinking amber?

i have the same problem now and im pretty sure my ram is properly installed. And the power buttom is kind of yellow or orange
