Power surge, A525 wont work

Newbie to this stuff, had a bad ice storm last week, power went out, i have 2 sets of A525 speaker systems in both of my computer, now they both will not work. When i turn them on i get no power to front speakers, is there a replaceable fuse or are the speakers now shot? Thanks In Advance, Bruce

Sadly, most speakers are like most other computer components - if they fail you replace them.

There MAY be an internal fuse is some models (not sure about your A525) but the problem is getting inside the speaker, since most are sealed and you wind up breaking open the cabinet (and destroying) just to see.

Best to have the PC, monitor, speakers and printer on a good quality surge protector strip (not a $20 cheapie) or better yet on a mini UPS system to protect against power surges, etc.
