Primary SATA drive not found; None installed
When my GX-270 boots I get an error message something like "Cannot find find primary SATA drive. Select F1 to continue or F2 to enter set-up."
The first time I selected F2, selected Boot Order and chose Boot from Hard Drive first. There are no SATA drives on the machine (yet). Rebooted, same 2 beeps. Hit F1 and the PC booted into WinXP Pro.
Suggestions?

Found the solution elsewhere. On the refurbed mobo it was set to look for a SATA drive as the boot drive. I disable this in the BIOS and set the PATA IDE drive as boot. No more messages or F2.

If you don't have any sata drives, use F2 to turn off SATA drives. It's not on the boot order page so look for it on another page in Setup Some older computers with IDE drives might have sata ports but cannot use sata for booting. Check your manual before you change your boot drive to sata.
