Refurbished dimension 4700 ships with DDR RAM... HOW?

im shopping for a refurbed dimension 4700 and all the tech specs user guide etc show them coming with DDR2 memory.  Why are all of the refurbished ones showing that they come with DDR memory?  Theyd have to replace the motherboard in them as DDR wont fit in a slot designed for DDR2.  What is the deal?  Ive spent 4 hours on this, on the phone, on chat etc.  No one has a clue!

The Dimension 4700 Series only uses DDR2 memory. The DDR shown in the refurbished systems most be a printing error

You could post this in the "Customer Care - Pre-Sales" and see if the Moderator there can answer the question.

This error happens on the 8400 systems too. Don't fall for it.

They are both DDR2.

How could there be that many printing errors!  That is a huge oversight.  Did the 4700 at some point ship with DDR memory?  Or are they replacing parts etc and you arent really getting a true 4700?  That would not be nice...

The 4700 only has DDR2 memory.  It's called HUMAN ERROR and TYPING MISTAKES...

Have you bought a refurbed one and it had the right memory?

You can't put DDR on a DDR2 motherboard. It is physically impossible.

It is all DDR2. They are TYPOS.
