SSD into Dell 690, is posible?
Hi,
I have a Dell 690 with PERC 5i Raid Controller and I wonder if any problem will install a SSD (M4 or Intel 510 for example).
Are disks SATA3 and the controller is SATA2 , is 100% compatible or the system does not support these discs?,a performance problem I should know?, thanks.

You can successfully use a sata 3 hdd on a sata 2 controller; just don't expect to see sata 3 performance.

I know I can not expect the same performance, but because the old controller wanted to know if supports SSD without any problem.
