Strange Bluetooth Keyboard-Mouse Issue
Hi,
All was well with my Desktop Inspiron530s till yesterday when I changed the mouse batteries.
Now after few minutes of inactivity both the BT mouse and keyboard stop responding. And then all I have to do is to take the BT dongle and plug it into a different USB slot and all becomes normal again (no resync needed). Till next time, when its back to the first USB port and so on.
I am thinking the dongle (DR984) needs replacement.
Please can someone advise if that is indeed the case or I should try something else?
Thanks.

Hi ZuriDutch,
The Dongle seems to be working fine as it works with a different port. Try connecting a different USB device on the first port.

Thanks for looking. But the ports seem fine. All I have to do is to keep rotating the dongle between the 2 open ports each time the BT stops working. So the same port works again when freshly connected to the dongle.

Hi ZuriDutch,
This appears to be a dongle problem. Kindly provide the system service tag through a private message.
